Inspired by true events, The Fall of the Kings is a 1940s American war drama that follows the story of a black American heiress in Boston and her Caribbean husband who are striving to maintain their family home in the midst of personal and political crises. The original music is written by Guggenheim and NEA award-winning Broadway composer Diana Wharton, a founding member of Sweet Honey in The Rock and composer for Ntozake Shange’s Broadway hit For Colored Girls. Theme featured Grammy-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and master percussionist Jose L. Ortiz. Original choreography is by the acclaimed dancer/choreographer Dyane Harvey-Salaam (BAM's DanceAfrica).
